Novosadski sajam

Venue

The European Veterans Table Tennis Championships will be held at place called “Novosadski sajam”, the same place where the European Seniors Table Tennis Championships was held in 1974. That tournament was played in Hall 1 which has 4.000 m2. Beside Hall 1, for European Veterans Championship will be used also the new Master hall with 6.000 m2. In those two halls which are under one roof will be 120 official tables and which share a central space (auditorium) with booths for the equipments, info desks, stands of veterans associations, medical room, etc. Above is a restaurant area and coffee bar.

In the open part of the Novosadski sajam, which represents the largest fair space in Serbia with 226,000 square meters, outdoor social activities will be set up, such as: food street, fun corner, beer pubs, etc. Three warm-up halls with 40 tables will be set up in the back of the Novosadski sajam, located near the parking area where shuttle buses will arrive and where participants will be able to park their vehicles.

  • 2 km away is a City center (Downtown)
  • 2.5 km away is a public Beach or called “Novosadski Štrand” (with beautiful sand and with lots of greenery)
  • just 300 meters away is a complex of open public swimming pools
  • Highway E75 is 6 km from the venue
  • Petrovaradin fortress or “Petrovaradinska tvrdjava” – 4 km away

Right next to the Venue, there is a bus stop with lines 3, 8 and 11 that go to all the mentioned destinations.

How to get to the Venue?

By plane – Novi Sad is 70 km from the “Nikola Tesla” Airport in Belgrade, or less than an hour’s drive. There are good road and railroad connections between Novi Sad and Belgrade.

By train – Novi Sad is one of the destinations on the international route Vienna-Budapest-Belgrade-Istanbul.

By car – Novi Sad is located on the E75 motorway (Budapest-Belgrade). It is 350 km away from Budapest and 80 km from Belgrade. The E70 (Zagreb-Belgrade) motorway runs in the vicinity of Novi Sad.

By bus – City buses numbers 3, 5, 8, 11 A and 11 B run by the Novi Sad Fair.

By ship – Novi Sad is located on the Rhine-Main-Danube waterway, so it can also be accessed by ship. This waterway connects nine countries and six European capitals.
